"Pascal had an incredible first season as a professional and deserves this recognition," said Executive Vice President, Technical Director and Director of Player Development Perry Van Der Beck. "It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to reach the level he has, especially at such a young age. Congratulations to Pascal on this honor and we are looking forward to seeing him next season."
Millien, who departed last week for his first call-up to the Haitian Senior National Team, will be training in Central and South America for the next month as Haiti prepares and competes in the 2010 Caribbean Championship, as well as Gold Cup Qualifying matches. The 2010 Caribbean Championship kicked off on October 2 and will continue until December 5 when the final takes place.  Haiti competes in Group F, which begins play on November 2 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Millien finished his college career at the University of Tampa as the only player in NCAA Division II to be a back-to-back All-American. During his three years as a forward for the Spartans, Millien appeared in 57 games and scored 25 goals while netting 79 points to rank ninth in UT's history.  Millien also ranks third in UT history for game-winning goals with 10 and second in career assists with 29. Millien also helped lead UT to the NCAA Division II Final Four in 2008.
FC Tampa Bay announced last week that Millien will be returning for the 2011 season, along with fellow midfielder Jeremy Christie.
Millien started his own foundation, A Millien Dreams Foundation, this year to help the children in his home country of Haiti through the sport of soccer. A Millien Dreams takes monetary donations, as well as soccer item donations, to send to children in Haiti. Visit www.milliendreams.com for information on the foundation and how you can help.
